- Lightweight Clothing: Egypt's climate is predominantly hot and dry, so pack light, breathable fabrics like cotton and linen to stay comfortable. Don't forget a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the intense sun.
- Modest Attire: Although Egypt is a relatively liberal country, it's respectful to dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites. Women may consider bringing scarves or shawls to cover their shoulders and heads if needed.
- Comfortable Footwear: Bring comfortable walking shoes as you'll likely be exploring ancient ruins and bustling markets. Sandals or closed-toe shoes that are easy to remove for mosque visits are a good choice.
- Travel Adapter: Egypt uses the Europlug Type C electrical outlet, so be sure to bring the appropriate travel adapter to charge your electronic devices.
- Personal Medications: If you have any prescription medications, ensure you have an adequate supply for the duration of your trip. It's also wise to carry some basic first-aid items like pain relievers and stomach remedies.
- Reusable Water Bottle: Stay hydrated by bringing a reusable water bottle. In many tourist areas, you can find water refilling stations to reduce plastic waste.
- Insect Repellent: Depending on the season and location, mosquitoes can be a nuisance. Pack insect repellent to protect yourself from bites.
- Camera and Binoculars: Egypt's history and landscapes offer fantastic photo opportunities. Don't forget your camera to capture the incredible moments, and if you're interested in birdwatching or wildlife spotting, binoculars can be handy.
